Lenore was at her wit’s end and very frustrated after having trialed several agencies for the compassionate home care she needed. After recently losing her husband and with her children living out of State, vibrant 86 year old Lenore felt very alone. Her self care deteriorated and she became undernourished. Aware that she needed help, she reluctantly began considering assisted living accommodation. Fortunately, she was persuaded by her social worker to contact Kind Care at Home.
Lenore is now very happy with the care and companionship she has found with Mary, one of the many qualified and dependable caregivers at Kind Care at Home. Lenore has been full of praise for Mary. She is not only grateful for the personal care she receives and the immediate improvement in her well being, but also for the little but important things – like Mary asking Lenore not to attempt to leave the car until she (Mary) is at the door to help her. Lenore’s pet dog was also not receiving the care he needed and without being asked, on her first day Mary took the dog to Petco for a long overdue grooming. Lenore describes Mary as friendly and compassionate. Having first indicated that she would like a carer for only 2 or 3 days a week, Lenore has now asked for a carer every day.
David and Vee at Kind Care at Home, work every day to ensure that the needs of the elderly, like Lenore, are met in the most understanding and compassionate way. They are very grateful to Lenore for allowing Kind Care at Home to share her heartwarming story and photo!
